What to expect during the Short Sale Process:
There is a lot of misleading information circulating on the web and in local real estate offices concerning Short Sales, what to expect during the process, whether it is a real contract, etc. The Walker Derby Team has been working Short Sales since the early 2000's (before most lenders didn't even know what they were!) so we have compiled information on what to expect on both the selling and the buying side of a short sale.

I think you have miscalculated what an amazing position you are in! Right now is the best time in decades for buyers! The savvy buyer of today will find plenty of inventory coupled with low interest rates and motivated sellers!
There is breaking news of the tax credit extension that includes both first time AND repeat home buyers. While it is always best to speak to your personal tax professional to see if you qualify, the details are as follows:
- $8000 federal tax break on first time home buyers purchasing a principal residence
- $6500 federal tax break on repeat home buyers who are purchasing a principal residence and have resided in their last residence for a minimum of 5 years.
